AR VR technology is quickly becoming a new industry standard with endless possibilities.

The key difference between the two is that VR immerses you in an entirely computer-generated world, whereas AR overlays digital images on top of your real-world view. This means that while VR requires a headset or goggles to experience the content, AR can be used through a smartphone or tablet screen or as part of a wearable device like Google Glass.

Why is it important?

Virtual reality has been around since the 1960s, but it wasn’t until 2012 that we saw a modern resurgence of interest in this technology pack with Oculus Rift’s Kickstarter campaign raising $2 million from 9,522 backers. Since then it’s grown into something much more than just gaming: there are social virtual reality platforms like AltspaceVR that allow you to connect with friends across the globe; there are also training tools like Flight Simulator; and there are even applications being developed for mental health treatment such as PTSD therapy at UCLA’s Center

It’s easy to dismiss VR as a “game-changing” innovation that will only affect those who play games frequently or even at all — but that doesn’t tell the whole story. In fact, VR has a lot of potential uses — from education to training. Some companies have even found success using VR as part of their marketing campaigns!

2. It could change how we work

Virtual reality can also be used in recruitment processes or training programs within organizations — giving employees an immersive experience they wouldn’t be able to get otherwise. For example, if you’re trying to find out if someone would be a good fit for a customer service job

Virtual reality and augmented reality are becoming more and more prominent in the industry, and they are being used in many different ways. With that said, they are still pretty new to the market. We’re still figuring them out, learning how we can make our products better, and what is even possible with this technology. Because of this, we don’t know exactly how it will impact us or other industries we haven’t even thought of yet. This is an exciting time to be alive, because we’re all seeing history in the making with AR VR technology!

Despite the potential for AR VR to be used in just about any industry, there’s still a lot we need to do to reach that point. Only recently has the technology we needed to make these technologies more mainstream become available. So far, we’ve seen games and film-makers leading the way in terms of adoption towards exploring new ways to use these technologies, but I think we’ll see a lot more of this kind of application released to the public soon.

The biggest challenge for the developers of VR apps and games—now and in the future—will be to create something that’s relevant for a wide variety of users, from all walks of life, with different interests and viewpoints. And that means that there’s plenty of room for innovation—not just in technology, but also in storytelling. With VR games and apps now becoming more widely available, we can only imagine what the next few years will look like for this exciting industry.

AR VR will be arriving within the next few years, and as it turns out, it is set to revolutionize just about every aspect of our day-to-day lives. Most traditional industries will likely see a substantial uplift when AR VR becomes the dominant virtual platform for its respective category. Together, AR VR and AI are set to take over many areas of our daily lives and deliver a new level of convenience that we never knew was possible. It brings us back to a hypothetical time where we never had to leave home if we didn’t want to. This means not just cheaper services being offered through MR, but an entirely free market with zero regulations or standards. Essentially, every industry can now be transformed by AR VR technology because there’s so much room for innovation with this emerging tech that’s already here.
