Vesna Vulović was a Serbian flight attendant who gained notoriety for surviving the highest fall without a parachute in recorded history. Born in 1950 in Belgrade, Yugoslavia (now Serbia), Vesna began her career as a flight attendant for JAT Yugoslav Airlines.
On January 26, 1972, she was working on JAT Flight 367, a Douglas DC-9 aircraft, when it was exploded in mid-air by a bomb planted by Croatian terrorists.
