Nancy Johnson: The Ice Cream Maker
In 1843 Nancy Johnson was tired of the extremely laborious task of mixing ice-cream. So she solved the problem and created a hand-crank ice cream machine that could produce two flavors at once. Considering the lack of technology back then and freedoms women lacked, this was considered to be a remarkable feat.
With her invention, Johnson revolutionized the world of frozen treats and made it possible for people to enjoy their favorite flavors with greater ease and convenience. The system is used until this day.
