29. Nicole Kidman’s Chartreuse Christian Dior Gown (1997)
Designed by John Galliano, who had been recently appointed as the creative director of Dior, Nicole Kidman arrived wearing this chartreuse gown to the 69th Academy Awards in 1997 and left everyone awestruck. The dress was embroidered with chinoiseries and lined with mink leaving a beautiful, patterned design.
Long and sleeveless, the dress wrapped gracefully on Kidman’s figure and made her an epitome of grace and confidence on the red carpet. The dress received great media attention and has been stated to have changed the course of red-carpet fashion.
